For The Bauhaus Baby

It’s Friday so let’s throw practicality out the window. I don’t think I’d ever buy a cradle like this but it’s definitely an interesting piece.
Perhaps better suited for an exhibit at the MOMA than in the nursery, this cradle, $US3,180, was designed by Peter Keller in 1922. Made of wicker and blue, red, yellow and white lacquer, Keller’s cradle is certainly innovative. Whether or not it suits infant sleeping … the count’s still out for me.
