Boon Potty Bench

To be frank, one of the things putting me off toilet training is the idea of an unattractive piss pot sitting in the kitchen. The Boon Potty Bench, however, is not ugly. The streamlined design would fit in any room of the house and is nice and low-rise so you can slide it under the bathroom cabinet.

Lift the lid and it’s a potty with a removable waste tray (bleugh) and handy side storage for toilet paper and wipes — remember, kids like distractions. Close the lid and you can use it as a stool for either adult or child: it holds up to 135kg. Internet reviews suggest that it’s particularly suitable for girls to use.

It is available on Deals Direct for $49.95.
