Smile, You’re On Handy Cam

Two days I posted about a budget, pocked sized handycam. Consider the Sony HDR-CX7 to be the polar opposite. The 1920 x 1080 HD resolution specs are impressive, but what really floats my boat is the Smile Shutter technology. Basically this means you can capture smiling photos and record video at the same time. Wa-hey, I feel like I’m living in the future!

When activated, the technology will detect and automatically take a photo when your kid smiles — without having to switch to photo mode or press the photo button. No more, “Smile Jackson. I said SMILE Jackson. Give mummy a smile!” then rushing to press the button in time.

It is available from SonyStyle for AU$1699, which is not too bad when you consider it’s a handycam and a digital camera in one.
