Your kids would be the dead-set coolest in the neighbourhood with this pirate ship in their front yard. Wanna know how to make it?

You’ll need cardboard and rivets. You can attempt your own masterpiece, or purchase plans and special cardboard rivets from the very clever Mr McGroovy. The rivets are easy to use — they just snap together. His site also gives you tips on where to find the giant fridge boxes you’ll need for your pirate ship.

If cutting cardboard is a drag, Parent Hacks has a great suggestion. Use an electric carving knife! Happy building…
