Ellen Pompeo Wants Babies in the Worst Way

Ellen Pompeo, 38-year-old star of "Grey's Anatomy," got married to record producer Chris Ivery last year. And now she says babies are on her brain all the time. She spoke to Allure magazine in their October issue, saying, "It's a huge lifestyle change, and I take that very seriously."

"We enjoy our life so much," she says. "We go to Europe and sleep in. So when I have the baby, I won't feel like we've missed any fun, reckless times together, like staying up all night drinking champagne and having sex until five in the morning and not having to get up until two in the afternoon. But I've got to get on it, because the clock is ticking."

In the meantime, Ellen is keeping plenty busy with "Anatomy." She has a two-year contract with the show, so she'll be intern Meredity Grey for a while more. She can't believe the show is the success that it is, either.

"When I did the pilot, I thought, 'I can't stand medical shows. This will never get on.'"
