Virtual Pets: Sega’s Aquarium Is Pretty Darn Cool

Posted by Erin Behan at 8:27 AM on October 2, 2008

Do your kids love fish but aren’t old enough to maintain a tank? I present to you the virtual aquarium. No leaky tanks, no algae bloom, no overfeeding, and — most importantly — no smelly floating fish. The handheld aquarium from Sega toys comes with either a dolphin (try fitting that into a 20-gallon tank) or angel fish that the owner must love, feed and play with. As the interaction grows, so does the underwater world. I'm pretty sure you'll be the coolest parent/aunt/grandparent on the block if this shows up in your little one's stocking. Note that the instruction manual only comes in Japanese. Buy it at Japan Trend Shop for $US59 plus shipping.
