A Taste of Sasha and Malia’s White House Rules: But Can They Paint it Pink?

It could well be the most historic home in America, but the White House will be a lot like any other house for Barack Obama's young daughters. So what are the limits for Sasha and Malia Obama when they move into 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.?
Apparently, the world really is their oyster now. An ABC News report puts the real rules in the hands of Barack and Michelle. I was kind of surprised, but I should have known. How do you tell the leader of the free world what he can and can't let his kids do? A taste of what's in store:
- The girls will have their choice of bedrooms – sixteen different bedrooms to be exact.
- If they want to paint the walls pink or splatter on a cow print, that's their perogative (or their parents' anyway).
- Choosing what to borrow from presidential memorabilia and neighboring museums will be the hardest part of decorating their rooms. Amy Carter borrowed pint-sized furniture donated when Caroline Kennedy was a first kid. Might Sasha and Malia do the same?
- Whatever the furnishings, they'll have to make their own beds each morning per Mum and Dad's rules
- Kids in the kitchen are de rigeur in the White House. Cookie baking with the White House pastry chefs is a popular First Kid tradition.
