My friend Amanda and I often joke that the mornings we wash our hair we don’t have time to shave our legs. What mother has time to do both? And if you work in an office you can add blow-drying and styling to your morning routine and it’s a struggle to get out of the door by 9am.

Which brings me to my new favourite product. Dry Shampoo. How does it work? Magic! Err, I’m not sure actually. You spray it on where it leaves a powder-like mist and comb through after two minutes. It somehow soaks up the oilyness and icky-dirty hair feeling and makes it look and feel fresh again, so you can keep your blow-dry longer.

Grandmas have known about this secret for ages - i8t’s a popular product in nursing homes for infirm patients.

I use Klorane Oat Milk Dry Shampoo. You can buy it from Chemist Warehouse for $10.99
