Matt Damon and His Kids Will Save The World

Matt Damon isn't your normal Hollywood kind of dad. He's not going to let his kids grow up as spoiled little brats. He wants them to grow up with their eyes wide open to the needs of the world.

He said, “It’s a hard thing to explain to a kid. And it is also unbelievable the way other kids are forced to live. The way you have to parent them is to show them the world. Explaining the world can only go so far. You can read about devastation every morning – it’s on the front page of the newspaper – but when you actually go there and see it, you realize this isn’t something you can turn the page on.”

If I was independently wealthy, I would take my kids all over the world to see as much as possible too. I want my kids to be able to see that they are so lucky and appreciate what they have. I want them to want to help others because they know  what people really need because of the things they have seen.
