The Saga Of The Triangular Pencil Grips

Posted by Chris Ford at 3:15 PM on November 19, 2008

My daughter is learning to write, and in pre-school she uses those old-school triangular pencil grips. The theory is it helps keep kid's fingers in the right place, and judging by the quality of her writing at school versus at home, it seems to help. So I went around to the local office supply stores to get some for her. But much to my surprise none of the big chain stores (Officeworks etc) had any – at least not the triangular ones.

So, at my four-year-old's suggestion ("Dad, you can find them on the Internet"), off to the Internet I went to find some. Luckily I came across Educational Experience., and there I found a bunch of triangle grips. A twenty pack costs $AU21.89
