Six Reasons Angelina Is Manipulative & Conniving

When Brad Pitt was on Oprah's show, and he talked about the photos he shot of Angelina for W magazine, he said that she's often seen as a femme fatale in many of her pics, but that Angie is actually very sweet.  I don't think many think of Angelina Jolie as America's sweetheart or the girl next door - that was more Jen Aniston, but I digress…Jolie does seem more like a femme fatale than anything and according to some, that just might be true.

DailyIntel wrote about the NY Times posting a piece about Angelina Jolie and how she possibly manipulates the media and makes sure the image she wants to portray is the one that the public sees.  So does that make her conniving or just smart and savvy?  You be the judge.

Here are six possible reasons that Angelina Jolie, could, possibly be manipulative and conniving:

1.) Angelina does not have an agent or publicist.  She controls her own public image.  She's the one in the driver's seat when it comes to how she wants to be perceived.

2.) Reportedly, when she and Brad sold their daughter Shiloh's pics to People for $4.1 million there were terms and conditions put forth - by Jolie.  Basically People had to kiss her ass.  She dictated the terms of the accompanying story and any future coverage, including the stipulation that the mag didn't use the term "Brangelina."  People denied this, issuing a statement, "These claims are categorically false.  Like any news organisation, People does purchase photos, but the magazine does not determine editorial content based on the demands of outside parties."  Uh, sure.  Angie totally wrapped them around her bony finger.  Like what else would they say?

3.) Us magazine caters to her as well.  When she and Billy Bob Thornton divorced,  "Us magazine asked Ms. Jolie if she would agree to an interview and be photographed. According to two people involved, she declined — but then offered the magazine another photo opportunity. Ms. Jolie informed it what time and place she would be publicly playing with Maddox, essentially creating a paparazzi shot. The resulting photo, the origin of which was not made public to Us readers, presented Ms. Jolie in a new light — a young mother unsuccessfully trying to have a private moment with her son." Guess she's got them wrapped around another finger too.

4.) Angelina gave birth to daughter Shiloh in Namibia and she had stipulations for them too:  "In 2006, when she sought the privacy of Namibia to give birth to Shiloh, the government refused to grant visas to journalists unless they had written permission from the couple."

5.) Charity claims that may be not quite what they seem:  "Despite the fact that Brangelina has claimed to donate the $4.1 million they got from the People shoot to charity, the Jolie-Pitt foundation, according to federal filings, has only given grants of about $2 million since its creation in 2006. Her lawyer tells the Times that donations often run more than a year behind. But what about the children? Can they wait that long?"

6.) The real test is Jolie's "Q" score (a measurement of a star's likability) and hers has increased over the years.  When she won her Oscar for Girl Interrupted in 1999, her Q score was only 13 percent, and now it's about 24 percent - the average for female stars is 18 percent.  So how does she do that?  She casts spells or something is my guess.  She's got bewitching powers?  Dunno.

It's sort of like when she went after Brad Pitt even though he was married - she's very smart, scary smart and when she goes after something, look out.  Same goes for the media.  She's playing the way she wants to.

How come you never rad all the reports by the recipients of the Jolie Pitt Foundation money? That foundation has given much more away since it was started. The Times article carelessly cited only a 6 month period of time in its 1st year of existence. She has personally given away millions for many years before the foundation started. I guess you never read the news either.

“Manipulative” and “conniving” - hmmm. Two words you would never use in describing a man in control of his life and career. This sexism is getting tiresome.

And of course we should consider People’s denial of such arrangements as more proof of Angie’s awesome power of manipulation. Utter nonsense!
