Parent Hack: Use The Tooth Fairy To Re-inforce Dental Hygiene

Getting kids to brush their teeth and floss is usually an uphill battle, something that can have really serious consequences to their overall health and comfort later in life.
In fact I was shocked to read this week that tooth decay is the most common, chronic childhood disease in America.
Which is why this tip from the clever folk over at parent hacks seems like a great way to encourage kids to maintain good oral hygiene:
My 6 year-old daughter recently lost her first tooth and was excited to receive her first visit from the Tooth Fairy. To reinforce my daughter’s good brushing habits, the next night, the Tooth Fairy left her a note telling her how nice and shiny her tooth was and how she should keep up the good work with brushing her teeth and not eating too much candy and junk food. The message was “magical” and she was so excited to receive two visits from the tooth fairy, not just one!
How do you encourage your kids to look after their teeth?
