There are some gifts I keep coming back to and the Planet Earth series is one of my favorites. All 11 episodes (from Pole to Pole to Seasonal Caves) are breathtaking looks at our planet and its amazing diversity. I sock this one away every year as the gift to give when I don't know what else to give–and usually it ends up being the giftee's favourite.
