Tilda Swinton: Usually Mistaken For Her Sons’ Father!

Actress Tilda Swinton admits that people often mistake her for a man because of her short hairstyle and she's usually called "Sir!"

Swinton, who has 11-year-old twin boys, Xavier and Honor, is usually mistaken for their dad.

"People call me 'Sir' in American hotels."

She adds, "I'm relatively tall, I don't wear make-up and I often wear my hair short.

"My son wears his hair long and we're often called father and daughter."

But Tilda, 48, takes it in stride.  She actually loves playing male characters in movie roles.

"It's fun!  Often there are poetic and creative moments in androgyny."
