Best of The Post-Christmas Sales

Posted by Amber Robinson at 12:43 AM on December 30, 2008

The post-Christmas sales used to mean queuing up outside department stores and elbowing your way up the escalators to only to find yourself in a tug-of-war over the last pair of size 7 designer slingbanks.

Now there’s a more civilised way to bargain shop – without lugging the stroller around town. Many retailers now have an online store, offering all the same deals at a mouse click away.

Here’s a round-up of the sales we’ve spotted this silly season (all prices are in Australian dollars):

1. Cradlerock

This funky children’s e-store is offering up to 70 per cent off selected items. We like the Itch Design Rhino Tee (above), reduced from $34.95 to $24.95.

2. Baobab

Baby and toddler wear brand Baobab is offering 20-50% off their beautiful and original designs. Pick up the Summer bodysuits 3 pack for $45.95, saving $58.90!

3. Pumpkin Patch

Pumpkin Patch are known for their hardwearing, quality clothes for newborns through to tweens. This girl’s check shirt dress with embroidery would look great over leggings and is reduced from $44.99 to $29.99.

4. Seed

Cult Australian clothing brand Seed is synonymous with stylish and functional kid’s clothes. This stunning cobalt-blue Layered Silk Party Dress (above), is reduced from $79.95 to $29.95.

5. Charlipop Kids

Charlipop Kids is an online boutique selling new and used designer clothing from around the globe including France, The Netherlands, Australia & Denmark. Pick up a boy’s collared shirt by Danish label Fixoni for only $26.20, reduced from $34.95.

6. Rosie Pose

One of our favourite online baby clothes stores, Rosie Pose offer a terrific range of labels from the U.S, the U.K. and the rest of Europe. Their clearance section has such great buys, like these Sooki Baby stripe pants (above), reduced from $25.95 to $18.00.

7. Where Did You Get That?

This e-boutique is having a massive sale, offering 35 per cent off Clothing, Shoes, Girls Swimwear, Belts, Bags & Hats categories until 2/1/9. Just enter WDYGT-35 at checkout (redeem discount coupon option). We covet the Ghana Batik Dress in Raspberry by Tea Collection, reduced from $79.95 to $51.96.

8. Bump, Baby and Beyond

Every day is sale day at Bump, Baby and Beyond. Owner Cath Freemantle picks up end of season and clearance stock from a great range of labels and passes the discounts on to customers. This Pea In A Pod Felicity Maternity Dress originally retailed for $110 – now you can pick it up for $44.95.

Instore

Country Road, David Jones and Cotton On Kids who are all offering great discounts on their children’s wear ranges at the moment.

Happy Shopping!
