Six-Year-Old Drives Himself To School After Missing Bus

This six-year-old must really like school. That’s the good part. The bad part is that when he missed the school bus on Monday morning, he stole the family car and attempted to drive himself, solo, to school.
According to the AP, this Virginia first grader, after missing the bus and not wanting to miss breakfast and PE, grabbed the keys and drove the families 2005 Ford Taurus pert near six miles. There was some wild and wacky driving along the way until he crashed into an embankment and a utility pole. Fortunately, he only had only a couple minor injuries. That’s one lucky kid and some fortunate fellow drivers who shared the road.
How did he learn to drive in the first place? The little boy told the cops that came to the scene that he learned to drive by playing Grand Theft Auto and Monster Truck Jam. What I’d like to know is who lets a six-year-old play the very much adult rated Grand Theft Auto game. And where was his mom? Turns out she was asleep. His parents have been charged with child endangerment and the boy and his 4-year old brother have been put into protective custody.
Now go and hide your car keys.
