Breast Milk Used to Fight Cancer in Nine-Year-Old Girl

Breast milk. Is there anything it can’t do?
A Queensland mother had attributed the substantial recovery by her gravely ill daughter use of human breast milk.
When the 9-year-old was diagnosed with a life-threatening tumour last year, doctors gave her a bleak prognosis.
Mum’s friend, a midwife, had read of the healing properties of breast milk and put out the word for milk donations amongst local ABA members. She also put an ad in the Sunshine Coast Daily classifieds.
The child was given 500ml of breast milk each day mixed with fruit in a smoothie. An examination of the girl in Brisbane on Friday showed that there had been a significant turnaround in the her condition, and her mother is now considering allowing her back to school.
The midwife told the Sunshine Coast Daily, “We are extremely grateful to all those mothers who have donated their ‘magic milk’ as we are certain that it has been of substantial benefit.”
Although there is still little scientific research into the cancer-fighting properties of breast milk, U.S milk banks are seeing many adult cancer patients requesting milk for treatment. There has been a study that shows that the elixr kills cancer cells, so surely it is a no-brainer to research the topic in more detail. But then what would I know. I’m just a mother! Maybe no pharma-companies are willing to fund research into medicine that is essentially free and widely available?
