Let's face it, when it comes to child welfare . . . it takes a village to take responsibility. Yes, their parents should have fought harder to get a better deal, Yes, the producers should have seen to it that the children had a fair contract but most of all, "Bollywood", which has grown into one of the biggest . . if not THE BIGGEST film production center in the world should enact laws that protect child actors, require mandatory blocked trust accounts and limit working hours and conditions. I watched this film from many points of view. As a movie lover and film buff, I loved it. As a parent, I was mortified. As president of www.ChildrenInFilm.com, I was grappling to understand how they achieved many of those shots without jeopardizing the health, safety and welfare of the children involved. It was just a matter of time before stories like this started to emerge about this film.

The children are the responsibility of their parents, who should have seen to it that they got a better deal before signing on to do the film.
