Kate Winslet Takes Advice From Her Kids

Sometimes the best advice comes from an unexpected place.

So many celebrities have life coaches and managers that tell them what actions they need to take and what image they need to portray.

Not Kate Winslet, she took the advice of her kids, Mia and Joe. She’s just regular old Kate with them. Except of course when she is in character for a movie, then she stays in character, even when reading them their bedtime stories.

While filming The Reader she read bedtime stories with a German accent. Her kids didn’t like it very much, they wanted her to just be herself. They said, ” ‘Mum, just be plain. Don’t do any funny stuff like voices. Just be regular.”

Kate knows that there will come a day when they think that her movie star status is cool, but it’s just not now.

I know this picture is a little old, but it just screamed for me to post it because it’s so cute. She could be any mum walking down the street with her kid.
