Cate Blanchett – Structure And Balance Matters

I’ve always thought that Cate Blanchett seemed to be a very driven woman. I recently read that one of the first things she does when she gets to a set is get a written schedule of all the times she needs to be on set, so that she can get started integrating a pattern of normalcy into her boys life.

She said, “You have to be organized, when life changes as much as it has or does for them, then it really is important that the architecture is there. Kids do want to know what time you are home, who is making the dinner. They need that routine. They need to know who is reading the story.”

Well, there you go, I was right. She is driven and organized for her kids. She knows how important it is for them to have structure while traveling and as well as at home.

I wonder if she likes to make lists like I do, then that would just be one more thing we have in common.
