Photos: Octuplet Mom Can’t Afford Babies BUT Can Afford Plastic Surgery

After “octuplet mom” Nadya Suleman gave her first interview, many speculated that the mother of 14, had plastic surgery, even though they’d not seen old photos of her. One website that specialises in looking at photos of celebrities to determine if they’ve had work done, believe that Suleman has certainly had surgery. How on earth can a woman who has no job, is on government assistance, receives zero child support, and lives with her parents, afford to have her face done?
According to awfulplasticsurgery.com, it appears that Nadya Suleman has had work done. Certainly her lips have been enhanced and it looks like her nose has been “shaved” down. She may have had her eyes done too.
For argument sake, let’s say she had only her lips done (that seems quite obvious to anyone, even those of us who are not doctors!), how does a woman who can’t afford her fourteen children (yes, and never mind how she was able to pay for fertility treatments in the first place!), afford to get her lips enlarged? Explain that to me!
And did anyone notice that her nails are professionally done? Listen, I get my nails done too – but I have a job, pay my own bills, do not receive food stamps, do not have my parents pay my bills and am able to provide for my children- I can afford to have my nails done. Sure, there were times when my husband and I struggled financially – we have never been on assistance, but trust me, there were times when we had to scrape up enough money for this or that. And during those lean times, NEVER did I splurge on nails or anything else that may take food out of my childrens’ mouths. Never.
So, where does this woman come off saying she can provide for her children? She lives in her parents’ home, lied to Ann Curry about being on assistance – she gets over $400 per month in food stamps and she receives benefits for three of her oldest children, who have disabilities. And yet, she can afford to get her nails done (because after popping 8, premature babies out, that would be MY priority too) and have her face altered (hey, my kids might go without, but at least I’ll look good). Ugh.

She is certainly following the ever-popular re-thinking of the American Dream. Now, if you don’t feel ambitious enough to join the workforce, just let other people cover your million dollar baby bill. The American family has broken down, and this is why.
