OctoMom’s Babies Being Taken Away From Her?

The Nadya Suleman story just keeps giving and giving. The soon-to-be-homeless, welfare-receiving, mother of fourteen children is now fearful that her eight babies, who are currently hospitalised, may not be given to her when they’re ready to be released. Kaiser officials may not let her take the babies if she doesn’t have suitable living arrangements – she has to prove she can adequately provide for them.
Suleman, who has taped two episodes with Dr. Phil, told the TV show host that she’s afraid she won’t get her babies.
Dr. Phil said, “What she [Nadya] is telling me is that unless and until she has a better living arrangement, that they [Kaiser Permanente Medical Center] are not likely to release the children to her.” She has to prove she can provide and properly care for the children.
Suleman, who is currently living in her mother’s three-bedroom Whittier, CA home (with her six older kids), will have to be moved out before March 5 – when the house is taken by the bank for foreclosure. And that million dollar mansion she was supposedly looking into buying? Well, not true – that was a home that was set up for her interview with Dr. Phil.
So, what will Nadya do?
That offer from Vivid Ent. might not be so bad. Gross – I’m kidding.
I can’t fault the hospital staff for their decision – they’re thinking of the children and what’s best for them!

it is not unusual for hospital staff (and it would be a social worker) to enquire after the home situation. nadya’s is already documented in the press. they would not make judgements about a lot of things as there is a broad standard. they would be concerned about nadya as much as the kids and if they think that she has been distressed by the media reports they may suggest that she do something to change that opinion.
the house was stated to be dirty. i saw one picture that she was buying a carpet cleaner. i think in many ways nadya is working towards bringing her babies home and that people should help rather than heap criticism on this woman. she did not murder anyone yet she is reviled more than murderers on death row.
