This story is so tragic, and hard to report. According to the New York Post, Natasha Richardson is brain dead and will soon be taken off of life support. The report says that she is being transported to New York this afternoon so that her mum, two sons and other loved ones can say goodbye. As reported earlier, Richardson was critically injured in a skiing accident in Montreal, Canada – husband Liam Neeson was in Toronto shooting a film.

The thought of the couple's sons having to say goodbye to their mother is unbearable. Eldest son Michael, 13, was with his mother in Montreal where the accident occurred, while younger son Daniel, 12 was in New York.

Along with her husband and sons, Richardson is expected to have mother Vanessa Redgrave, aunt Lynn Redgrave and sister Joely Richardson at her side. Richardson also remained close friends with her ex-husband Robert Fox and he is expected to make the journey as well.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family at this incredibly difficult time.

This is such a tragedy…my two daughters were obsessed with the movie “Parent Trap” and therefore Natasha was in my living room on a daily basis for months ,she was like a breath of fresh air and so beautiful…she is the same age as myself and my heart goes out to her whole family …God Bless her Sons !!

So sad. Such a tragedy. Just saw Ms Richardson in Wild Child, where she was great, and of course remember her lovely manner in Parent Trap. Sincerest sympathy to the family.

This is so, so sad. Don’t let something like this happen to you. ALWAYS WEAR A HELMET!

    Helmets….Straight Outta Hell

You cannot underestimate the sensitivity of your head just because you’re on snow. This is so sad because this incident was completely preventable…had she simply been wearing a helmet.
