Took my grandson to the stage show. Struck me as a money making exercise with every expense spared. The 3 actors involved worked hard, but their costumes were token efforts - i.e. mouses ears stuck on the side of the actresses head to let you know she was the mouse & the Gruffalo didn't look like the Gruffalo in the book, so his appearance on stage - which should have been the exciting climax to the build up - was just baffling to the youngsters watching. My Grandson turned to me with downturned mouth and said' But that's not the Gruffalo'. Bit of a rip off really.
