Jaime Pressly Creates Happy Home For Dezi

Jaime Pressly says that breaking up with ex-fiance Eric Calvo – even while their son, Dezi James, is only 22 months old – was best for everyone involved. She covers April’s Redbook magazine and says, “The parents stay together for the kids, but the kids know that you don’t want to be together. Kids would rather you be happy, and separate, than together and miserable.”
“I don’t want my kid to grow up around two parents who just don’t work. Eric and I take him to the park, we take him to eat. We do things together so he’s with us as a family, so he knows Mommy and Daddy still love each other, that it just didn’t work out,” Jaime says.
Jaime, 31, goes on to say that she didn’t want to wait to split until Dezi was older. She thinks that would have affected him more, and she should know. Jaime’s parents split up when she was a teen.
“Eric is involved,” Jaime says. “If I need him to take care of Dezi, he’s there at the drop of a dime.”
Good to see two parents putting their children’s needs first for a change.
