Steal This Look: The Initial Necklace – $1500 Vs. $75

Posted by SunnyChanel at 2:15 PM on May 18, 2009

A now classic ‘push prize’, the initial necklace has become a popular way to commemorate your child. I originally wrote about the above Jennifer Meyer Letter Necklace for the Splurge for Mother’s Day list here. It’s gold and oodles of bling…real diamond bling. This necklace goes for $US1500 which you can order from Dilsey Coal here. If that’s a wee bit ostentatious for your taste and you want something simpler, more subtle and lots cheaper, check out this option for $US75.

The Petite Gold Disc Necklace (below) doesn’t have shiny precious stones but rather a simple basic letter brand. The lettering has been “crafted by hand” and each one has natural imperfections. I guess natural imperfections come cheap. You can pick one of these up for $US75 at Posh Tots here.
