Cynthia Nixon Engaged to Female Partner

Congratulations to actress Cynthia Nixon and her partner, education activist Christine Marinoni! The pair have confirmed their engagement, with Nixon showing off her engagement ring at a rally supporting gay marriage at the weekend.
The couple have been together for six years. Nixon has two children from her relationship with photographer Danny Mozes.
Mariononi, 42, proposed to Nixon last month but the date of the wedding has not been set.
At the ‘Action=Marriage Equality’ rally in Manhattan on Sunday, Nixon asked the crowd,
“Does me and my girlfriend getting married have any effect on you and your wife, or you and your husband sitting at home?”
“I often hear the campaign to legalise same-sex marriage is an attack on traditional marriage and I want to say you are not the ones being attacked, we are.”
Nixon wants to see laws change before the couple become married, telling People magazine that “I don’t really want to get married to get married ‘pretend’ … we’d like to do it in a real, actual, legal way that the state would recognise”.
