The Secret To Tina Fey’s Success: Her Daughter

Posted by Josh loposer at 7:45 AM on May 22, 2009

I’m always blown away by the off-the-wall writing on 30 Rock. ‘How do they come up with all that crazy dialogue?’ I always think. Well, now we know — Tina Fey’s daughter is the mastermind behind it all.

That’s right, according to Jane Krakowski (who plays Jenna Maroney) revealed the show’s crack ghost writer, 3-year-old Alice. Says Krakowski:

“Some of the great catchphrases of ‘30 Rock’ have come from Alice. Like, ‘I want to go (to)there!’ – that’s Alice. It’s so funny because I hear people say it on the street, and that was (Tina’s) daughter! There are other things that Alice came up with as well, like ‘normal sauce’ and ‘crazy putty.’ These words are 30 Rock vocabulary. They’re hilarious – and they’re all Alice!”

There you have it, let kids write dialogue and you win Emmys. Got it?

I can’t wait to see the next episode of Lost, written by 3-year-olds. That would be soo awesome!
