“Kidnapped” Mum & Daughter Found In Disney World

If you were to be kidnapped, where would you want to go? Quite a few people would probably answer “Disney World!” And that’s just where Bonnie Sweeten and her 9-year-old daughter Julia Rakoczy were found on Wednesday.
Sweeten and her daughter Julia were assumed kidnapped when calls to 9-1-1 were received from Sweeten herself saying they had been abducted and put into a trunk of a car, where she supposedly was calling from.
There was an immediate reaction from the news media with the appropriate amount of shock and awe, complete with a heart tugging interview from the girl’s father on the Today Show. By midday, holes began to appear in the story. And by the end of the day, mother and daughter were found safe and sound –very unkidnapped- at a resort at Disney World.
It turns out that soon after calling the authorities to say she and her daughter had been involved in a fender bender and had then been kidnapped by two black men, the 38-year-old mom bought two tickets to Orlando and used her co-worker’s ID as her own. Sweeten was arrested at the Walt Disney hotel for identity theft and making a false report.
If you opted to just ‘disappear’ with one of your kids, where would you go?
