Is Gordon Ramsay’s Career Over?

Gordon Ramsay’s foul-mouthed tirade against TV journalist Tracy Grimshaw has made headlines around the world, with even our own Prime Minister chiming in to denounce the celebrity chef.
Ramsay finally made a public apology after being berated on the phone by his mother.
Commentators are now wondering if this is the end for Ramsay’s illustrious restaurant and entertainment career.
The last eight months have seen scandal after scandal for the weathered gourmand.
In November, allegations arose that he was having an affair with ‘professional mistress’ Sarah Symonds.
In April came the shocking news that Ramsay was using pre-prepared meals in his London gastro-pubs.
Just last month his New York restaurant ‘London’ was found to be lacking in the hygiene department by health inspectors.
So it’s hardly surprising that The Telegraph’s Liz Hunt is suggesting that Ramsay has blown it with his female fans once and for all.
And in case you had any doubts about the guy left, he apparently refuses to change his kid’s nappies.
That’s enough for me, I won’t be watching any more of his programs or seeking out his restaurants and cookbooks. Even if his arrogant, misogynist facade is just a persona, it’s not one I want to support.
Somehow I don’t think the way Ramsay treated a talking head in Australia is going to affect his standing with his main audiences (the UK and USA) where Australia, unfortunately, rarely rates a mention. But yes, his day has probably come, and there will be some other over-blown celebrity chef to take his place no doubt.
