Don’t Miss a Fever With the Babyglow

Australian Post Posted by Amber Robinson at 2:56 PM on June 22, 2009

A new hypercolour bodysuit by a British inventor detects whether an infant has a fever or not and changes colour based on temperature. The suits, which come in pink, blue and green, change to white as soon as the baby’s temperature rises above 37c.

I can see how parents of younge babies would find these really handy, especially as many babies don’t like having cold metal thermometer tips shoved under their armpits or tongue.

As my child has gotten older I can tell pretty quickly if he is ‘burning up’ based on how hot his tummy is, but I guess the suit gives you advanced warning – and may be handy if the babysitter is on watch.

The suits will be available in the UK in October for £20 for a two pack.
