Girl Looks Like A Baby But Is Actually 16

How old do you think Brooke Greenberg is (pictured right here on the left). Would you say one or two years old? If so, you’d be off. Way off. Brooke Greenberg is 16.  The teenage hasn’t aged in the ‘conventional sense’.  She is the size of an infant at 7 kilos and 80 cm in height and her brain functions like a toddler.  The science community is, obviously, totally fascinated by Brooke’s situation.

Her case appears to be different than other kids with stunted growth issues. Lawrence Pakula – her paediatrician at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine – said that “many of the best-known names in medicine, in their experience…had not seen anyone who matched up to Brooke…she is always a surprise.”

Although doctors say she hasn’t grown physically or mentally her mother sees teenage girl behavior saying, “She loves to shop…just like a woman.” When they do hit the stores – with Brooke in a stroller –  other mothers will stop and ask how old Brooke is.  Stating the fact that she is sixteen would be startling and would take a whole lot of explanation so her mum says, “my system has been to turn year into months. So, if someone asked today, I might say, she’s 16 months old.”
