It's good to see this topic on Babble, I just wrote about it on my blog this week, after that poor mother of twins in Perth tried to take her life and that of her babies due to post-natal depression. Just this week I have discovered that two of my friends have been dealing the PND for a while, but haven't known where to get help. It's so important to reach out for help before you feel desperate. Small steps are a good place to start. Joining a support group, talking to a friend, getting a book on the subject, perhaps these things can help your husband to see that you are trying to deal with the problem, rather than just expecting it to go away. If your husband won't listen to you, then you need to find somebody he will listen to... his Mum, sister, a close mate so they can help him to see that his attitude is not helping. Remember that you will come out the other side. These feelings won't last forever. Hang in there.
