ellemiley1 Miley Cyrus Elle Photos: Too Risqué?

Miley Cyrus, 16, graces the current issue of Elle magazine and there are photos inside as well.  Are they too risqué or totally age appropriate?

Couple more pics after the jump

Is she showing too much cleavage on the cover?  Is it a bit over the top for a sixteen year old?

This photo is totally cute and her outfit is adorable:

But this one, um, a bit too provocative?

I’m fairly certain I wouldn’t let my 16-year-old lay on a table with thigh-high boots on and be photographed for public consumption.  But, I guess different parenting styles for different people, right?  Some of us are more strict than others.

What do you think?

I love it ,I don’t think its bad this isjust another bad press for the poor girl, everything she does is bad.leave her alone

  • MileyLover says:

I personally think that it’s absolute BULL to critize her for THIS. Like, whats next? The girl wont be able to show her shoulders? I can see the whole Vanity Fair thing causing some controversy. Absolutley NOT! There is not one shred of distastefullness to these photos. Your all just looking for an excuse to hate on her, its ridiculous.

  • MileyLover says:

    Whoops, I meant to say:
    But this? Absolutley NOT!

  • just-a-dad says:

This is simply dress up in today’s day and age. Clean and certainly not RISQUE. This is the authors attempt to get google hits and drive ad dollars by using the word risque and miley cyrus in an article. DONT CLICK.

  • kayleigh says:

Come on people! get a grip none of the photos miley has gotten into trouble for are realy that bad of you think is being a bad rold model try looking at teenagers getting pregnant like jamie lynn spears atleast you change change clothes and put then on you can’t change have a kid and there’s nothing wrong with how she’s brought up or what they let her do.

  • tammy says:

I am only two years younger than miley and id love to do a shoot like that. It’s like rockish and looks fun. I think everyone needs to leave her alone. She does go too far sometimes but thats just part of growing up and she wants to grow up.

  • Mother of a tween girl says:

There is nothing wrong with these photos.
What were you wearing at 16?
All I wore were mini skirts.

My 11 year old is modest and knows that there is a differance between celebs and real kids. She loves Miley and so do I. While we may not like everything she does….20 year old boyfriend ect. We also don’t really know her world. Being on the road with people older than her and her best friend being in her 20s she is going to act older than her years. She is growing up. People need to realize that.

  • dan beers says:

Are you kidding me, there’s nothing wrong with the pictures. Leave the kid alone.

  • kristin says:

Its not bull you all are just fans of her. She is showing to much name the last time you saw a 16 year old dress up like that. she looks like a slut. I understand she is growing up and the she will eventually be 18 but do this when you are 18. dont be showing ur boobs and n image on a table in hooker heels. she needs to know she is a role model not a playboy playmate. but at this rate shell be there at the age of 18 and then of course all of this would be forgotten.

  • alissa says:

And you’re obviously not a fan of her. And this is called a photo shoot. so of course they’re gonna dress up in something not so typical? Please, this is a big load of crap. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with these pictures. And you’re comparing her to a playboy playmate? Have you seen playboy? Half the time they’re posing naked. Get real. Just leave her alone.

  • unknown says:

I’m 15 and I wear clothes like that and I pose like that in pictures. But the fact that I do it too does not mean it’s ok. People! Haven’t you ever been a teenager before? We obviously now offficialy go on dates and like wearing things that show off some skin but that doesn’t make it wrong. We get the feeling that we look mature and beautiful but it’s just not that. We finally feel like it’s the right appropriate time since we’re somewhat maturing. This is completley normal. I don’t know one girl who doesn’t do this. And just because she is showing off her chest doesn’t make anything wrong. Just picture her on Hannah Montana with a flat chest but in the same top. You wouldn’t say the same thing, would you? And why is the boyfriend being brought up? So she’s a slut because she’s dating an older guy? Do you even know what a slut is? Doesn’t anybody realise that a girl is much more mature than her age? That’s why you normally see girls with older guys. And hooker heels? What now, there are certain heels hookers wear and certain that are appropriate for a 16 year-old? If you have a teenage daughter, neice, cousin or whatever-take a look at the pitures she has with her friends on Facebook or MySpace or her computer or whatever and maybe even take a look in her closet. You’ll be suprised knowing that you were surely burried in a hole ever since year one.

  • Richard Mongler says:

    @Laura:

    Fuck you, Laura.

  • Christian Weston Chandler says:

To unknown, you’re wrong. This girl is supposed to be a role model for people like my younger sister. She can’t just do things like this and expect nobody to care.

  • PopPrincess says:

Leave the poor girl alone, just please. I’m 13, and I’ve dressed like this, and MY parents do not have a problem with it. And I most certainley am not a slut. Therfore, THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THIS ! And if anyone thinks there is, I have a little advice for you: Stop living in the 1920’s…please, THIS is the least of the worries of today. Girls ared allowed to show their arms/legs and should NOT be critized for it. People who think this is wrong, grow up and GET INTO THE 21ST CENTURYY !!

  • Unknown says:

Well, what makes you think she is SUPPOSED to be a role model? Was that required for her occupation? And when you look at a role model you look for what’s good. If you judged every person for their flaws there would be no such thing as role models. She’s a human being like any one of us. No one is perfect.
