ThinkGeek to Release Tauntaun Sleeping Bag For Real?

ThinkGeek excited — then disappointed — a whole legian of Star Wars fans with an April Fools Prank on their webstore involving a Tauntaun sleeping bag.
For the Gen Y’ers out there, the Tauntaun was a creature slain by Han Solo during The Empire Strikes Back. Han saved Luke Skywalker from certain death in the freezing climate of Hoth by slitting open the belly of the dead beast and placing Luke inside the stinking (but warm) carcass. Gross, huh?
Well, the sleeping bag was only ever a joke prototype, which upset a whole lot of folks who wanted to wrap up their own little skywalkers in Tauntaun guts.
The good news is that ThinkGeek have bowed to geeky pressure and will attempt to create this wonderous piece of bed linen after all. You can register your interest here.
