Spit Up: Waldorf Inspired Brass Knuckles?

Did I just see a find some Waldorf inspired brass knuckles? Yes, yes I did. An Etsy seller was inspired to pair punk rock iconography with the simple handmade qualities of Waldorf children’s toys to make the “Waldorf Inspired Baby’s Punk Rockabilly Brass Knuckles Wooden Maple Teething Ring Toy”.
In the creator’s description:
These silky smooth wooden brass knuckles are perfect for small fingers to grasp, and the soothing comfort of the cool smooth hardwood helps ease the pain for tender gums. Why let your little one chew on chemical laden leeching plastic when they can chew on this all natural soothing hardwood non-toxic toy with no worries?
No worries? How about when your child grows up and finds themselves drawn to real brass knuckles, an object designed to do some severe damage during a fight? I’m all for punky baby stuff, but this “heirloom quality toy” just may cross the line. If it doesn’t cross yours, you can pick up a pair here for $US14.75 (plus $US5 shipping to Australia).
