EVERYTHING is easier second time around even if you do end up with another colicky baby. I have no idea what the stats are - but you would think that if there was a firm link then there would be data out there to support it.

I hope the writer doesn't let the hard time put them off going back for more - I can promise that in a few years time they will hardly even remember the colic and six months of hell even if they do get cursed twice.

My first did not sleep for more than two hours a shot for his first two years (not colic related)I survived - and four years later went back for seconds lol - even though at the time I thought I was going to die from lack of sleep.

My first child suffered terribly from colic from the time we brought him home from hospital up until around 4 months of age. He rarely slept longer than 40 minutes at a time and either myself or my husband spent every night walking or rocking him to get him to sleep, only to have him wake again soon after. It was exhausting! We tried everything on the market to "cure" his colic, even took him to a chiropractor a couple of times, but nothing really helped until he grew out of it. But the good news is that my second child did not have colic at all and was a much "easier" baby.
