Pregnancy In Song

Pregnant, up the duff, a bun in the oven, in the club or in the family way – however you refer to your condition and whatever you’re feeling, there’s a song to match your mood.
Here’s one way of looking at it, through Paul Anka’s eyes. Warning: if you’re suffering from morning sickness, this might make you want to throw. And cry. Or both. Actually, come to think of it, you might not be remotely pregnant, and still feel like reaching for a sick bag…
And here’s another, from Madonna’s teen pregnancy perspective
Gorgeous guy in the clip, don’t you think? No, not Danny Aiello – the young grease monkey. Wonder what ever happened to him…
And last but by no means least, our favourite, Too Much Too Young by The Specials. OK, OK, so it’s not really about pregnancy per se – more the consequences of being pregnant. But it’s still valid in this post, isn’t it? Sort of? Brilliant message, makes you want to dance – and gor! Terry Hall, eh? We’d still love to be having fun with him, after all these years (and kids and cheese on toast for tea!).
So what about you? Can you think of any more songs about pregnancy/its consequences? Let ius know in the comments box below if you can!
