About

Babble Australia is an online magazine for a new generation of young parents.

We know that when you give birth you don’t have a lobotomy at the same time. We hope to provide a non-judgemental, exciting, intelligent and interactive forum for one of Australia’s untapped online communities – urban, educated and media-savvy parents.

From the stable of Allure Media, the Australian publishers of celebrity site Defamer, gaming blog Kotaku, and technology blogs Lifehacker and Gizmodo, babble.com.au takes the best bits from our US sister site and mixes it with home-grown content. A unique blend of regular columns, in-depth features, first-hand parenting tips and advice, as well as daily blogs, the site will deliver witty insight to a range of thought provoking and often controversial topics.

Nothing will be taboo, with content ranging from Brangelina’s next adoption, to the pitfalls of smoking pot during pregnancy and everything in between.

Consider us your online bible to the art of raising a modern enigma: children of the new millennium.

babble.com

Our American sibling, babble.com, was first published in December 2006 and now has more than 1.2 million readers a month. Details described the site as “the Bible for hipster parents” and it was recently a finalist in the American Society of Magazine Editors National Magazine Awards in the “General Excellence Online” category, alongside the New Yorker and Slate websites.
