“Snakkes” is Norwegian for “talk to you later,” but to Barcelona-based designer Daniel Benito Cortázar, it’s also the name of this adorable lamp/whiteboard combo, which lets you scribble everyday notes that your spouse or the kids simply can’t miss. By day it’s a way to say “Hey,” “I love you” or “Remember the milk,” while by night it’s a way to add warmth to your home’s nooks, crannies and corners.
$320 from Funktion Alley.

If you’re a green mama, chances are you’ve already heard of Dandelion Earth-Friendly Goods — a stellar option for parents hunting for natural products. One of the biggest gripes about “organic” and “natural” products is that there’s often quotes around it — but not with Dandelion’s natural tableware made out of corn.

Finding a toothbrush that infants will willingly use is like finding a variety of peas that won’t find their way thrown off the highchair. And while I’m not quite sure either exists, I’ve found an oral care set designed to make the battle a little easier. NUK’s Healthy Start Oral Care Set is a BPA-free, age-appropriate line of products that teaches children how to one day brush their teeth independently.

The Dear Deer Tree stickers are no ordinary wall decals. How they are different is that they are made of fabric with a low tac adhesive. What’s neat about that is you can move the decals around, making your wall an ever changing canvas. The brightly coloured, handpainted designs, which include a dear, butterfly, trunk, blue owl, grass and branches, are a guaranteed winner for any child. Price is $US119. Find it at Etsy Shop Sticky Tiki.

I know my son would love this cars and trucks pencil case. The zip is green with yellow tabs on both ends (patriotic, don’t you think?), the shape is created with the use of cotton flannel and the inside is lined with yellow cotton. It’s handmade and undeniably unique.
It’s $US16 at Etsy shop Rohmer.

Does your child like to have everything ‘just so’ and the standard issue clothing that comes with their dolls is just to, well, generic? With the Carla colour Me Doll by the North American Doll Co., your child can decorate their doll’s body and clothing exactly how they’d like. And if they aren’t happy with their first attempt at style greatness, that is totally okay. They can just wipe off the doll and start again! The set comes with a 16″ doll, removable dress, shoes, markers and a clear carry tote.
This doll is available from US department store Saks here for $36.22.
