Everyone was shocked and devastated to find out that celeb dad Michael Douglas is suffering from Stage 4 Throat Cancer and is in a battle for his life.

Douglas is optimistic about beating the disease, but we can’t help but wonder just how bad Stage 4 Throat Cancer really is.

Typically, when cancer reaches stage 4, it means that the disease is usually impossible to cure because it has spread beyond the original tumour. Douglas, however, reports that he has an 80 percent chance of recovery, so his prognosis looks a bit better.

Michael smoked for many years, which no doubt contributed to him developing cancer. He will be undergoing treatment for the next two months.

Throat cancer usually means cancer of the upper part of the throat behind the nose, as well as the middle and lower areas. It can also consist of cancer of the voice box.

We wish Michael all the best as he fights to beat this awful disease!

Congratulations to Harvey Weinstein and Georgina Chapman! The couple welcomed a daughter, India Pearl, on Sunday, August 29th according to People.com.

This is the first child for the couple who wed in 2007. Weinstein, a movie producer and the chairman of The Weinstein Company, has three daughters from his previous marriage. This is the first child for Chapman, the Marchesa designer and co-founder.

The character of Harvey Weingard on Entourage, played by late actor Maury Chaykin, is said to be based on Weinstein.

She is no doubt one of the most gorgeous celebrity mums in Hollywood, and she definitely has plenty of men drooling after her, but Kate Hudson isn’t interested in settling down anytime soon.

Kate graces the cover of the October issue of ELLE UK magazine, and on the subject of marriage, she says, “It’s definitely not something I’m looking for.” Kate goes on to say that she does believe in love, and that when you “open yourself up to it, it’s the most beautiful thing.”

Hudson carries no bitterness from her divorce from rocker, Chris Robinson, who has since remarried and had another child. She and Chris do an excellent job of remaining friends while co-parenting their son, Ryder, and she still speaks very highly of him.

Here we go again — Nick Cannon ‘not talking’ about Mariah Carey being pregnant! First, he all but confirmed it, then he said that Mariah was ‘superstitious’ and that’s why nothing has been confirmed, and now Cannon is claiming that she’s just ‘spiritual’. Actually — I think the word he’s looking for is ‘pregnant’!

Cannon was at the Arthur Ashe Kids Day tennis event in Flushing, New York last Sunday where he spoke with UsMagazine.com and said, “I think it’s more of a spiritual thing, like trying to stay true and stay private for as long as you possibly can. She wants to keep as much privacy as she possibly can.”

Neil Patrick Harris may still be revelling in his Emmy success (the actor won two Emmys at the awards), but there’s something else that he’s looking forward to even more: the arrival of his twins. The star of How I Met Your Mother recently announced that he and his partner, David Burtka, are expecting twins via a surrogate this Northern Fall, and Harris is already taking his role as dad seriously.

“I’m trying to read as much as I can, and prep as much as I can,” the 37-year-old told Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet on Sunday night. “But there’s only so much you can do because each baby is super individual and totally their own person.”

Despite preparations, though, he’s at least wise enough to know that things will inevitably get a little chaotic once the kids make an appearance. “It’s the big, crazy, calm before the ridiculous storm,” he said.

Gwen Stefani took her adorable boys, Kingston and Zuma, to Newport Beach yesterday for some fun in the sun! The boys had a great time frolicking in the surf and playing in the sand with their famous mum! Wearing matching swim trunks and Zuma with an adorable hat to protect from, the sun, the kids seemed to have a blast!

And judging from these photos, we can off the recent ‘bump watch’ on Gwen Stefani. The famous singer is looking pretty slim in these pictures in her white tank top and jeans. Although I guess only time will tell, but it seems like every few weeks we’re trying to make her pregnant!

Amy Poehler just gave birth to her second child, and she’s already hitting the red carpet! She and husband Will Arnett welcomed son Abel just three weeks ago.

Amy made her post-baby debut at the 2010 Emmy Awards last night, and she looked absolutely radiant! Three weeks after I had my son, I could barely manage to grab a shower, and Amy’s already pulling off looking fab in an evening gown!

C’mon, isn’t she gorgeous?

Their night at the Emmys was extra special for Amy and Will, because it also happened to be their seventh wedding anniversary. Someone on the red carpet told Amy that the traditional gift for lucky number seven is copper and wool, but she and Will didn’t exchange those things with each other.

I think that a date night at the Emmys is about the best anniversary gift they could’ve gotten, don’t you?

Jessica Alba and daughter Honor Marie spent the morning out for brunch at The Griddle Cafe in Los Angeles on Saturday (Aug. 28).

The celebrity mum spent this week at a screening of her new film Machete. She is also in talks to star in Spy Kids 4 as a retired spy who is reactivated as her stepchildren become the new “spy kids.”

It seems like just yesterday this little tyke was born, but she is already 2-years-old. Time flies and it’s good to see that Jessica makes time for her daughter in her busy life.

In the Elin Nordegren People magazine interview, she finally speaks her piece, after nine months of silence, and she would like you to know this: She never went after her now-ex husband, Tiger Woods, with a golf club, despite reports to the contrary.

Oh, and the mother of two also didn’t cause him to drive his car into a tree in that bizarre accident that started this entire matter, like everyone speculated. In an exclusive interview with People magazine, which she says will be her first and last statement on the subject, Elin says Tiger drove his car into a tree all by himself — she had nothing to do with it.
