Ash reads parenting magazines!  She said on Twitter, “Reading parenting early years magazines on melrose set.  It’s a great magazine for new mom’s!! Good find ”

Ashlee told PEOPLE, her Melrose character Violet “is looking for a family member — looking for any kind of family, looking for love.  She’s really not accepted — not just yet.  I think that’s something interesting, to play the outsider.”

The 24-year-old singer/actress is married to Fallout Boy Pete Wentz and their son Bronx Mowgli is almost nine months old.

Ashlee Simpson and Bronx Mowgli arrived in England this morning, oh yeah, that guy Pete was with them as well. Ashlee and Pete kept Bronx safely covered from the prying eyes of the paparazzi.

The family is there to support Pete as he kicks off of the European leg of the Fall Out Boy world tour. Pete will then head back to Australia to rehearse for the MTV Australia awards. No word yet if Ashlee and Bronx will accompany him.

There are rumours that Ashlee Simpson’s little boy Bronx was injured and may have a broken bone.

TMZ is reporting that Ashlee was supposed to be in Vegas for the opening of Ken Paves salon. However, sources are saying that she had to back out because he may have broken his arm.

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and husband Pete Wentz became parents on November 20 to a son – Bronx Mowgli.  And of course everyone's dying to see what the little man looks like – well, some of us are.  According to reports, not a single magazine has showed any interest in publishing the baby's photos.  But, new dad Pete says, it's all big fat lies.  Oh do tell!

Here is what Pete wrote:

About baby pics gossip: truth is like every celeb couple we were offered
mounds and mounds of money by mags from here to Guam to pimp out the baby. We just don’t want to go down that road with him.

We are not placing judgment on those that do as they often use the money in a very charitable way. However, we have made the decision to not sell Bronx’s baby pictures right now. We understand that like other celebrities have said, “there is a bounty on our heads” for these pictures. There is a danger when there are cameras being held over walls and into our backyard. We are followed day and night and that was fine when it was us but we are going to do our best to shelter Bronx from that as much as possible. Its scary to be followed by 10 cars to your home. We understand the curiosity, just not the viciousness that comes along with it when it becomes so insatiable. We know there will be a time when we’ll share him with everyone because that insatiable curiousity becomes unsafe or simply because we’re proud parents who want to show him off! We know our fans support and care about us and want to know about our family and we’ve always been straight up and open with those who care about us most, so at some time, when it makes sense, Bronx will be out in the world.

In the meantime, we’d like to say thank you to those who have allowed us relative privacy in letting us just be a family for now – and to enjoy all the happiness he’s brought us.

New mum Ashlee Simpson-Wentz made her first public appearance a few days ago, just three weeks after giving birth, and she was definitely glowing.  She and husband Pete Wentz are first-time parents to son, Bronx Mowgli.  Ashlee left a message on her blog and she seems very happy!

Hey everyone! I haven't written in a while, just wanted to write and check in! Motherhood is the most fantastic experience I have ever been thru, Bronx makes me laugh and smile everyday! I finally left the house for Fall Out Boy's show on Monday night, which was so good. Their new songs sound awesome live, I can't wait for their new record! And last night I went to Pete and Bronx's godfather Travis' artshow. It's amazing to see how many artistic outlets those boys have! Made me very proud. It was an awesome show and so many of our friends and family came out to support. I hope you guys have a great holiday, I can't wait to spend it with my new family. Christmas tree goes up tomorrow!

New 'celebrity baby' Bronx Mowgli, son of Ashlee Simpson Wentz and Pete Wentz, will be making his photo debut at some point, whether it be just by being photographed by paps in mum's arms or in an official photo shoot.  And speaking of official pics, will Ashlee and Pete do that?  According to some, they could get $2 million for them!

Howard Bragman, publicist to celebrities (does not work for the Wentz's) and author of 'Where's My 15 Minutes' said, "I see Ashlee and Pete coming in at the low seven figures mark.  Two million seems like a good, solid figure for Ashlee and Pete.  It's a two-celeb couple, so that's a boost for them."

So will they sell photos of their baby?

Bragman added, "Keep in mind, last year, Ashlee was the girl who sang along to the tape recorder," referring to her stint on SNL where she was caught lip-synching.  "It was a PR nightmare.  Now, she's a newlywed and a new mom, so she's a lot more relatable."

The publicist said that Ashlee could learn a thing or two from Angelina Jolie's 'baby-branding strategy.'  He said, "Nobody does this better than Angelina.  She and Brad Pitt have been very careful to make it clear that the money they've been getting has been part of their charity outreach work.  The big bucks are a nice perk, but for them, the publicity is priceless."

And what's in it for magazines to fork out such ridiculous amounts of money?  They don't often recoup that money in sales, but it's a case of "bragging rights."  Bragman added, "Human beings are conditioned to love babies.  And when you take two celebs and they have a baby, it's alchemy.  It piques our curiosity – what will it look like?  But it also humanizes the celebrity.  It makes them relatable."

kid after a romanticised savage-feral child in a story written by an
imperialist racist and also appropriated the name of an ethnically
diverse neighborhood in a lame attempt to make yourselves seem hip? COOL.

2) That, or it demonstrates that your cultural literacy is restricted to
Disney. You didn't know that Rudyard Kipling was known for prattling on
about the White Man's Burden and romanticising the quote-unquote
savage? Oh, well. Shoulda stayed in school.

4) Because it also demonstrates that you don't know how to use Google. Type Mowgli into a Google browser search box, and guess what comes up near the top? Mowgli Syndrome! A term that is often given to children that are found with severe
cognitive and/or physical deficiencies that are not the result of any
biological cause, but rather are due to severe neglect. Which, I suppose, isn't the worst thing. At least you didn't name the kid Bronx Munchhausens or Bronx Aspergers. Because someone might have taken offense to that.

5) Because the Beckhams hit up the New York boroughs for names first, and imitating the Beckhams is just so 2006.

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz welcomed their first child on November 20 – naming the little guy Bronx Mowgli.  Some are wondering how the celebrity couple came up with such an, uh, interesting choice.  Wonder no more!

Co-authors Pam Satran and Linda Rosenkrantz of the book The Baby Names Bible: The Ultimate Guide By America's Baby-Naming Experts, spoke with CBB and gave their expert opinions on why the new parents may have chosen the names Bronx Mowgli for their new bundle of joy. 

Pam said, "Bronx is definitely a grittier, untouristed choice.  The name comes from first settler Jonas Bronck, a Dutch farmer.  Mowgli was invented by Rudyard Kipling for the hero of his Jungle Book stories, a boy who was raised by wolves (literally) and became an expert hunter, trapper and denizen of the wild."

Agreeing, Linda added, "Since Ashlee was born in Texas and Pete was born in Illinois, I wonder if they had any family connection to the northern NYC borough of the Bronx.  The Simpson- Wentzes seem to be following the Jolie-Pitt tradition of boys' names ending in 'X' – Maddox, Pax, Knox.  And though Mowgli was created by Kipling, he's better known to most people via the spunky 10-year-old boy in the 1967 Disney animated film version of The Jungle Book.  While Kipling made the name up, in the stories it's said to mean 'frog.'

Frog?  Seriously, I don't want to pass judgement (okay, maybe a little bit) - I mean it's their baby and their right to call him whatever they want, but Bronx Mowgli is not what I would choose for my newborn, and seeing as he's not my newborn, I guess all is well.  However, I wish them all the best with their little one!
