Hugh Jackman is hands down my favourite celebrity dad. He’s always with his kids and playing with them.

He doesn’t care who is watching and is so natural with them.

Hugh Jackman and his brood took off for a family outing in the US over the weekend. Along with wife Deborra, son Oscar and daughter Ava were a couple of Ava’s little pals. Her My Little Pony Pinki Pie Crawling Newborn Doll and her So Soft Newborn Pinki Pie Preemie. Two different incarnations of little Pinki Pie. They are available from Amazon here for $US44.99 for the Preemie and $US18.49 for the Crawling Newborn.

Hugh Jackman picked up his daughter Ava from school in New York City and brought her a tall, cool bottle of water.

You see what I did there? See Hugh is a tall, cool drink of water too and he has a bottle of water. Yeah, I know it’s not funny.

Really I just wanted to post a picture of Hugh Jackman, because he’s my secret crush.

Hugh Jackman’s Daughter Ava was spotted celebrating her fourth birthday with dear old dad.  How did she dress for her special day? In a pretty pink frock, just like a do… literally. Here Ava wears the  hot pink ‘Hearts’ dress from the Dress Like Your Doll line from American Girl.  The doll in her hands is also wearing the same design but in a way, way, way smaller size.  You can pick up some matchy matchy style direct from American Girl – the Girl’s dress is available here for $US58 and the mini version can be picked up here for $US24.

It’s no secret that Hugh Jackman is a class act. The guy does it all, but none as well or as passionately as his gift for dance parenting.

Hugh is always with his kids and he seems to be loving every minute of it, which means he’s either a better man than I am or his kids actually listen to him. I’ll go with a bit of both.

Oscar (9) and Ava (3) are lucky kids. Strollers, icy poles and Wolverine? That’s summer in a nutshell, folks.

Did you know he wanted to be a dancer when he was a kid? He started down that path when he was 12, but gave it up when his brother said, ‘Ah, you poof.’ Hugh says, ” So I gave it up. I dropped it like a hot rock. I didn’t have the guts of Billy Elliot at the time!”

I personally think he’s adorable and incredibly talented, he’s a triple threat. He is embarrassed by the dancer tagline. He added, I’m always very nervous about the word dancer next to my name because anyone who’s really trained in dance will go, ‘This guy’s fudging so badly.’ ”

Hugh Jackman and his wife Deborra Lee Furness took their kids Oscar and Ava to Grauman’s Chinese Theater on Tuesday. Hugh was getting his hand and footprints in cement in front of the legendary theatre. I’m not going to crack any jokes about wishing I was that cement.

But really, this entire post is a ruse, just another excuse to write about Hugh Jackman and put up another picture of him. If loving Hugh is wrong I don’t want to be sane. Isn’t that how the saying goes? Or is it, “If loving Hugh is wrong I don’t want to be arrested and held on fifty-thousand dollars bail for peeking in his windows.” Hey, you cull from your life experience and I’ll cull from mine.

Celebrities do this kind of thing, more often than we realize, but Hugh Jackman took his desire to donate, to Twitter.

He wants fellow Tweeters to explain in 140 words or less why he should donate to their favorite charity. I looked at the twitter stream and I don’t see how he could pick just one, there are so many great causes.

He also has a tweet out there to Ryan Seacrest asking if they should announce the “winner” on the 24th.

His kids are old enough to know what kind of person their dad is. I think this just reaffirms the fact that they are lucky to have him as a daddy and that they will learn important things from him.

I think he should donate to The March of Dimes. The March for Maddie is very moving and the family isn’t asking for anything, except for you to donate to the charity that helped keep Maddie and so many other babies alive.

Hugh Jackman tries to keep up with his 3-year-old daughter Ava in Manhattan the other day. Ava picked up some speed on her Mini Kick Scooter by Micro-Mobility in a pretty pink shade. This three-wheeled scooter is perfect for kids aged two to five. With it’s ‘lean and steer’ design, kids are able to utilise their body weight to control the steering giving the sensation of sidewalk surfing.

I’m not sure if I announced it, but my theme this week is All Hugh Jackman, All The Time. I expect to end the celebration by tracking him down and then surprising him with an impromptu party complete with a cake I’ve baked in his likeness. It’s a little bit creepy, I know, but the only way to show my love.

And how could you not love a guy like this? Take a look at this video on TMZ, where he’s not only being incredibly gracious to the TMZ guy who’s hounding him with his camera, but Hugh (we’re on a first-name basis now) is pushing his daughter Ava in her stroller the entire time. What a great guy, and a great dad – surely you can’t blame me for wanting to have his baby.

I’m going to bake this guy TWO cakes. Hopefully he’ll like them so much he won’t be mad that I snuck into his house with them.
