Of course this is on Etsy, where else would it have been?! Based on everything I know of Etsy crafters I want to hang with those ladies because they are CRUNKED. They are like the Tony Starks of knitting. Except instead of getting hooched and flying around blasting their repulsers, they slam the purple drank, pick up some needles and do some damage.

Who ever made this is the Andy Warhol of crafting. Check out this latest epic squeezed out of the factory.

Description from the Etsy page.

She is anatomically correct, as is her newborn son! Her embellishments include a wedding ring, earrings and necklace and her son has a tiny belly button, made with a real button to which the umbilical cord attaches.

Yikes. Seriously, though, I need, like, 20 of these. My house needs to be filled with yarny afterbirth.

The Expectant Knitter is much more than a knitting book, but also a warm, funny, and informative pregnancy guide. Projects are tailored for each trimester with simpler ones for the first (when it seems unlikely that I'd have the energy to lift a knitting needle) and the third (when my fingers were swollen) and more complex ones for that glorious second trimester.

The first few projects are dedicated to that wonderful time before you're even pregnant when you're dreaming and hoping and there's even a section for parents who are adopting. The knitting projects are exactly what I want to find in a knitting book. Learn to knit a swaddling blanket, pinwheel quilt, first party dress, alphabet blocks, socks, leg-warmers, among many others.

If you only have the energy and time to read a couple books during pregnancy this book can actually serve as a health guide and weekly planner for each trimester, too. The author shares helpful information regarding doctor’s visits, morning sickness and even swaddling techniques.

Buy the book here and visit Marie Connolly's website, Stitchdc.
