She says that she really does try to come across as a nice person, but sometimes has a hard time not sounding like a diva. Is that something she’s going to teach her kid? I certainly hope not.

She said, “I think I have mannerisms and that whole thing… But even before I had any type of fame I was like this. Seriously. They [the media] said I wouldn’t come into a hotel room unless there were petals on the floor. I’m like, do you really think at 3am I give a shit what I’m walking on?”

Oh, she’s still a diva. She may not care if there are rose petals on the floor at three am, but what’s the bet she does later on when she wakes up?!

The couple have reportedly been trying for nearly a year to have a child, but don’t expect them to make an official announcement just yet. According to the insider, “Mariah is superstitious, and she doesn’t want to talk about the pregnancy until she’s a lot further along.”

I know, finally. I was on the edge of my seat waiting for the two of them to finally give us all the details of their plan.

They told In Touch Weekly they are now ready to start a family.

How many kids?

Nick: We’d like two.

Mariah: Of course, we’d be happy with one. I want to be able to manage the right amount of attention. We are so busy — if you have six kids running around, no one gets what they need. Kids need a lot of attention.

Would you consider adoption?

Nick: It’s never out of the question. I was raised by my grandmother, who was also a foster mum, so I grew up around a lot of kids.

So you can see yourself having one by the end of 2010?

Mariah: Yeah. What do you think?

Nick: I think that’s what the world is waiting for.

Mariah: Oh, my goodness, that’s so much pressure on our kids!

Hmmm… Do you think she means it? Does she really want kids or is she too much of a narcissist to want to have the attention on anyone else?

Supposedly, Mariah is just dying to have a baby with Nick. Add to that the pressure of having a 28-year-old husband and a ticking biological clock, and you’ve got a recipe for major tension and stress.

“She feels like she’s been hit by a truck. The bottom line is that she can’t handle the emotional trauma of any more false starts,” the insider adds.

After seeing her dream of motherhood crumble, Mariah and Nick agreed to adopt,” says the source, who calls the decision bittersweet “because Mariah had her heart set on having her own baby.”

“Nick told Mariah, ‘You’ll be a terrific mum. There are plenty of kids who need homes and we’ve got so much love to give. And who knows? Anything can happen. Maybe we’ll get lucky someday and have one of our own.”

The source claimed Mariah and Nick are already in the process of researching adoption agencies in the US.

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon will be celebrating their one-year anniversary next week, and like all newly weds, everybody keeps bugging them about when they’re going to have kids. Apparently, Nick’s getting a little tired of all the rumors.

“Give my wife the respect she needs, the respect you’d give any woman,” he pleads. “You don’t just go around saying, ‘Yeah, she’s pregnant.’ How disrespectful is that?”

Nick stopped short of going berserk on reporters, but it’s pretty obvious that he had about enough of being asked when they plan to start a family. Says Nick, “Everyone wants to know!”

Part of the frustration for Cannon might have to do with the speculation that they have been trying to get pregnant for months. Reports about Mariah holding ultrasounds and visiting IVF clinics have pretty much been circulating since almost the day they were married in a secret ceremony.

Looks like the couple might actually be having a tough time getting pregnant, and therefore the gossip is just salt in the wound. Of course, it could also be that Nick and Mariah just like to keep certain info private. With these guys, you just never know.

Mariah Carey and husband Nick Cannon will celebrate their first wedding anniversary in April, and what better gift to each other than a baby? The couple were spotted leaving a Beverly Hills office building, which may (or not) have a fertility clinic, which could mean they were in that fertility clinic (or not), which could mean Mariah is pregnant (or not).

According to sources, Carey, 38, and Cannon, 28, were visiting a pre-natal specialist and they were even sneaky enough to use a decoy limo to throw off the paparazzi, who, uh, ended up spotting them anyway. (Better luck next time)

Mariah has been through pregnancy rumors before and both she and Nick have said they’ve changed their minds about children. Initially they didn’t want any, but realizing that they’re soul mates, thought having a baby would be perfect for them.

However, in January, at the Sundance Film Festival, the two told Extra they’re not sure about babies. Mariah said, “We don’t know!” Nick added, “Yeah, we’ll let nature take its course!”

Which translates to, “ya, we’re pregnant, but we’re not telling you just yet.” (or not)

You heard it right, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are going to be parents. Just not yet. The couple got married secretly last April on Carey’s private island estate in the Bahamas, and ever since the rumour mills have been churning away saying Mariah is preggers.

But Nick says his diva wife isn’t expecting…yet. He told E! News, “We’re definitely into planning a family and stuff but when everything calms down and we get the time. We’re just running and gunning now and enjoying being newlyweds.”

And great news! Nick, 29, says that he and Mariah might be doing “some comedy stuff together. You’ll see us this year doing some really funny stuff.”

Mariah Carey and hubby Nick Cannon were hitting the slopes in Aspen over the weekend, looking as glam as you possibly can in ski gear. Mariah got a ski lesson and everything.

Page Six of the New York Post is saying that sources in St. Barts told the paper, "Carey is definitely pregnant." Mariah has been spotted coming out of an OBGYN's office in Los Angeles, holding "what looked like a sonogram and being greeted by her entourage with cheers."

Looks like we'll have yet another diva baby on planet Earth in 2009. I wonder if the baby will cry in 8 different octaves.

We're all a bit confused about whether or not Mariah Carey is pregnant with her first child.  And although there's been no 'official' confirmation from either Mariah herself or her husband, Nick Cannon, there's been much internet buzz about the status of her womb.  The 38-year-old singer has now cancelled her tour dates – why?  Maybe because she really is pregnant!

According to NY publication The Daily News, Mariah has scrapped her upcoming tour.  A source said,  "Costume designers and dancers were all called Wednesday and told the tour is off.

"Most were hysterically crying because they were relying on her for a paycheck this holiday season."

As well, Carey was spotted leaving her LA ob/gyn's office and reportedly showed her entourage a sonogram picture.

Her spokesperson said of the cancelled tour, "it was discussed but not confirmed."  And about the pregnancy?  "I have not been told she's pregnant."

See?  Another clue!  The rep hasn't been told she is pregnant, but that could also mean, that the rep hasn't been told but that Mariah really is with child!

Mariah is so totally pregnant.  Maybe.  Yes!  Okay, 50/50 chance that she is or isn't.
