Fisher-Price unveiled a new remote control Big Foot toy at the 2010 Toy Fair on the weekend. As reported over at Gizmodo AU,

Big Foot comes with a foot shaped remote that controls its movement as well as its emotions, including buttons that make him happy, angry or sleepy. Each button has several routines, so Big Foot won’t always be the same kind of angry when you mash on the big, kid-friendly angry button. His different states of contentment are displayed with grunts, shrugs and movable facial features including his nose, eyes and eyebrows.

It sounds like this is beyond your average RC toy. Functions can be stacked, for instance you can give Big Foot a bad dream by hitting sleep and then the angry button. Sounds like a whole lot of monster fun.

Big Foot can be caught in the U.S from June for $US100.

We’re counting down the days until the Where the Wild Things movie premiere here on Babble, but we’re not letting the green-eyed monster take over our summer. Check out these ideas for monstrously good fun:

You already know they’re a little monster, but they can harness their monster spirit (all in good fun, of course) with a set of monster hands and monster feet that will keep their own paws intact!

Set them off clomping around the house with the Monster Clompers from ALEX Toys. They’ll be so busy stalking their prey they won’t notice their mastering coordination skills stomping around the house on these giant foam feet. With adjustable rope handles for differing heights, they take a little time for your kids to get used to, but once they do, they’ll be off and clomping. And the foam slapping on the floor will keep you in the know on your monster’s whereabouts! Get them from Amazon for $US12.22.

The other appendages can be tricked out monster-style too with the super-soft Tickle Mitts for giggling good fun. Made to match the new (and hilarious) Tickle Monster book from Melrose Place star Josie Bisett, the big blue hands are like fingerless gloves – puffy fur for heightened tickling sensation but ample room for your fingers to turn the pages.

Big enough for mum and dad, the mitts will look even more monstrous as they dwarf little hands, and who can get enough of that roar, er, giggle? Get both book and mitts over at Tottini (you can buy them separately – mitts are $US16, book is $US17).
