These daddy stars have not only oodles of people’s livelihoods on the line but they have children depending on them too.  One of the dads who like to zoom around the traffic filled streets of LA? Tom Cruise.  And Tom, he had himself a wee bit of an accident over the weekend.  What happened?

He was going through an intersection when a four-wheel-drive did a big no-no and ran a stop sign. Tom tried to avoid being hit and in the process his Ducati motorcycle spun out. A witness said, “It was like a scene from Mission Impossible.”

Tom was able to get to his feet but was seen limping after his fall and waited outside of the KOI restaurant on La Cienega for the paramedics to arrive. The good news is that Tom is reportedly A-OK. Reckon Katie’s going to try to curtail his motorcycle riding?

A source told the New York Post, “This is exactly what happened just before she got pregnant with Suri. Tom has made no secret of the fact that he would like another baby. It is almost as if she is being prepared for it.”

According to the church web site, Scientologists believe the “health and the sanity of the child begin long before birth”.

Interesting concept! I guess we’ll just have to wait and see if Suri is going to get a sibling in the coming year.

Where they were heading is unknown. The kids have been living with Tom and Katie for a few years now. Why they haven’t lived with Nicole is a mystery to me.

Nicole recently commented in She magazine about becoming a mother at different times of her life.

“For Bella and Connor I was a young mother- and for Sunday, I’m an older mother,” she says.  “They’re polar opposites. With Bella, I’m being someone she can confide in, while trying not to tell her what to do. With Sunday, I have to show her, teach her how to do everything … It’s really keeping me on my toes!”

Her and hubby, Tom (Cruise that is), like to have casual little game nights with pals like Eva Longoria Parker, Victoria Beckham and David Beckham. When asked what they play she said:

“Well, we like to play this version of Scrabble which is… it’s like a fast version of Scrabble.”

Co star Elijah Wood asked. “Wait, you play like, Speed Scrabble?”

“It’s pretty stressful,” she said. “It’s intense but it’s addictive.”

So, what is speed scrabble?

According to our pal Wikipedia : “Speed Scrabble is played without a board. Tiles are placed face down in the middle of the table. Players draw from these communal letters trying to build words with their personal tiles in front of them. Words can be built by rearranging tiles already there and by playing through pre-existing words as if they were playing Solitaire Scrabble. Play continues rapidly until there are no more tiles left to draw.”

There were oddles of celebs in attendance like Sophia Coppola, Diane Kruger and Ben Stiller. And there was one more notable attendee…Chris Klein – Katie Holmes ex-fiance! There’s no word if TomKat mingled with Katie’s ex-flame (who she was with for five years), but I’m sure they all made nicey-nice.  And check out Katie’s open weave macramé style dress, I wonder if Suri picked that one out?

I really don’t know if they have a purity clause, but I don’t want to look it up. I’m afraid I would get junk mail from the scientology site forever.

Anyway, supposedly she wants to get a tatt to seal the deal on her love for Tom, to show that world that they are forever bound together. You know, kind of like the one Victoria Beckham got on her tenth anniversary to David.

Tom, on the other hand, is not so sure. “He’s desperately trying to talk her out of it.” He just wants another baby.

I find that funnier than I should.

Is he trying to get her to stop because he doesn’t think the relationship is going to last forever, or is he just against ink as a whole?

P.S. What I really want to know is – who’s the guy behind her? He scares me through the computer.

Per Us Weekly, back in 2001 Sapir alleged he had a tape confirming a homosexual relationship with Tom.  Tom sued him for $US100 million. The case was settled with both parties admitting no such tape existed. Now Sapir is suing Tom for $US5 million alleging that Tom, his lawyer and a private investigator spied on him and tapped his phone.

And to think, we believed the most scandalous thing involving Tom Cruise this year was that his three-year-old daughter wears heels. How wrong were we!

Is it because her birthday was coming up and she was excited about it? She was seen socialising with the cast and crew of Tom’s movie Knight and Day, and she looked so happy.

Maybe their relationship isn’t a farce. Maybe Katie is so in love and happy in her relationship with Tom.

Katie just needs someone to get that daughter of hers dressed. Everyone else has jackets and scarves, while Suri wears a sleeveless dress! Katie needs to remember her responsibilities as a mum and put some clothes on that girl.

When the interviewer starts off by saying, “one of the things you haven’t talked about before”, Kidman quickly replies back,“There are many things I haven’t talked about.”

“Here’s one,” persists Marr. “Scientology — a lot of people would say it is a bullying cult.”

“I just don’t . . . This is just so not . . .” After recovering her composure she asserts: “I’m here to publicise Nine. If I was here to do an exposé on myself then I’d be like, ‘Let’s go’, but I have no interest in discussing any of that.” More info and the actual clip after the jump!

“You don’t want to talk about Scientology?”, presses the interviewer. “No, I’ll talk about Nine,” says Kidman firmly.

That part of the segment was scrapped by the BBC so it won’t be included in the piece set to air on Sunday. However, the cut out footage can be watched in this video here.
